3D Artist

Responsibilities

  • Creating game textures, 3D environment geometry, characters, game props, user interface design and effects animation.
  • Work closely with Game Designers, World Designers, Artists and Programmers to create and implement high-quality art assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year 2D/3D Art Degree with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Photoshop.
  • Must be familiar with one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, SoftImage, etc.). Maya is preferred.
  • Experience developing on the Jupiter Technology a plus.
  • Able to work quickly in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.

Items to Include in Portfolio Submissions

  • Traditional art: life drawings, concept sketches, paintings, sculpture, etc.
  • Production samples: character concept images, story board layouts, environmental concepts, topographical layouts, etc.
  • Images of 3d characters, objects and/or environments. Fully realized environments cover the full spectrum of skills we are looking for: geometry, textures, and lighting.
  • Information about the scenes such as the number of polygons and how long it took from design to implementation.
  • 2D textures not applied to the geometry. Both digital painting and photo manipulation are skills valued in our prospective artists.
  • Any custom game levels with accompanied texture packs for any mainstream game that demonstrate world building skills for real-time 3D as stated above.

Environment Artist

Responsibilities

  • Modeling, texturing, lighting and scripting 3D game environments.
  • Work closely with Game Designers, Level Designers, Artists and Programmers to create and implement high-quality game levels.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an environment artist or level designer for PC or console games on published titles (preferred).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the Jupiter Technology (DEdit) preferred.
  • Strong environment modeling skills using one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, SoftImage, etc.). Maya is preferred.
  • Experience with game event and AI scripting preferred.
  • Able to work quickly in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.

Support Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our licensees, solve problems, and communicate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to identify and resolve bugs and improve software performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years professional C/C++ programming and B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Focused, results-oriented, self-motivated, with problem solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Customer service background.
  • Experience with 3D games and/or 3D engines.
  • Knowledge of DirectX API.
  • Microsoft Visual C++/.NET development environment.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Work closely with Game Engineers, Game Designers, and Artists to develop high-quality PC game titles.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional C/C++ programming.
  • Strong 3D graphics and math skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Truly passionate about making games.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science.

Preferred Experience

  • Jupiter and/or Unreal development experience.
  • Experience developing 1st and/or 3rd-person action/adventure games.
  • DirectX programming.
  • Game AI development expertise.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
